Brief

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is seeking to procure a complete Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) system including supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, training, warranty, and maintenance services. The system will analyze volatile and semi-volatile compounds produced from thermal decomposition and combustion of solid fuels and related materials as part of the PEACEPLUS Clean Air project. Key capabilities required include: qualitative and quantitative analysis of evolved gases, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), oxygenated species, and trace emissions relevant to air quality and fuel characterization; standalone operation as well as integration with a separately procured thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) system for evolved gas analysis workflows; and specialized interfacing for gas transfer and handling of low-concentration, transient species. The successful supplier must provide a fully functional, integrated analytical solution with comprehensive support services including operator training and ongoing maintenance.
