Brief

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is seeking to procure a complete Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) system for analyzing volatile and semi-volatile compounds produced from the thermal decomposition and combustion of solid fuels. This PEACEPLUS Clean Air project-funded initiative requires a system capable of qualitative and quantitative analysis of evolved gases, including volatile organic compounds, oxygenated species, and trace emissions relevant to air quality monitoring and fuel characterization. The system must operate independently while interfacing with a separately procured thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) system for integrated evolved gas analysis workflows. Key requirements include: supply, delivery and positioning at the point of use, professional installation, commissioning, staff training, warranty coverage, and maintenance support. The supplier must ensure the system can handle low-concentration, transient species and support both research activities and future accredited testing operations. This is a fully funded opportunity through the PEACEPLUS program.
