Exhibition Design, Manufacture and Installation Services for The Workhouse Museum, Donegal

The Donegal Famine Heritage Centre (trading as 'The Workhouse') in Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal, seeks a qualified service provider to deliver complete museum exhibition services. The project is funded by Failte Ireland's Coast-to-Coast Capital Investment Scheme and aims to transform the site into a premier year-round destination on the Wild Atlantic Way. The Service Provider will deliver: (1) Final interpretive and spatial design across five distinct zones with optimised visitor flow, including a detailed scale model of the original Workhouse building as a central interpretive feature; (2) Content management and bilingual (English/Irish) exhibition materials plus a four-language audio tour accessible via proprietary devices and smartphones; (3) Procurement and installation of multimedia, audio-visual elements, and an interactive Digital Archive Explorer kiosk; (4) Complete physical fit-out including demolition of legacy fixtures, internal partition walls, electrical and decorative works, climate monitoring display, humidity control system (without external stone wall penetrations), and energy-efficient heating compliant with EU Regulation 2024/1103. All works must be fully completed and handed over by 30 March 2027. This is a comprehensive turnkey project suitable for experienced museum exhibition contractors with expertise in interpretive design, bilingual content delivery, and heritage fit-out services.
