Exhibition Design, Manufacture and Fit-Out Services for The Workhouse Museum, Donegal

The Donegal Famine Heritage Centre CLG (trading as 'The Workhouse') in Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal is seeking a qualified service provider to design, manufacture, and install a modern museum exhibition. Funded by Failte Ireland's Coast-to-Coast Capital Investment Scheme, this project will transform the site into a premier year-round destination on the Wild Atlantic Way. The Service Provider will deliver: (1) Final interpretive and spatial design across five distinct zones, including a detailed physical scale model of the original Workhouse building; (2) Fully bilingual (English and Irish) exhibition content and a four-language audio tour; (3) Procurement and installation of multimedia, audio-visual systems, and an interactive Digital Archive Explorer kiosk; (4) Complete physical fit-out including site preparation, demolition of legacy fixtures, internal partition walls, electrical works, decorative finishes, and an active humidity control system; (5) Modern, energy-efficient heating upgrade compliant with EU Regulation 2024/1103. All works must be completed, validated, and handed over by 30 March 2027. This is a comprehensive museum exhibition project requiring expertise in interpretive design, digital media integration, heritage conservation, climate control, and project management. Bidders should demonstrate experience in similar museum projects and familiarity with Irish language requirements and EU energy efficiency standards.
