Rostock School Building Renovation and Sanitary Installation

The Hanseatic and University City of Rostock is undertaking the renovation of a school building located at Maxim-Gorki-Str. 67 in Rostock Evershagen. The building, constructed in the 1970s using a 5-MP element construction method, currently houses a daycare facility operated by 'ILL e.V.'. It is a four-story school building with a total of 26 classrooms for grades 1-10 (single school). The structure includes a teaching section with three staircases (Segment A) and two specialized classroom sections connected by four-story links (Segments B and D). The renovated building will accommodate a daycare, a youth club, and parts of a vocational school. To support this new usage, extensive work is required on both the exterior and interior of the building. This work includes: • functional redesign • upgrading the exterior shell, including roof and facade • complete interior renovation • technical installations, including electrical, heating, ventilation, and sanitary systems • equipping specialized classrooms for the vocational school • landscaping of outdoor areas. As part of the comprehensive renovation and repurposing, some rooms will be functionally reassigned. To ensure barrier-free access, the main entrance area will be redesigned to include an elevator.
