Digital Wayfinding Platform for Moorfields Eye Hospital at St Pancras

The Authority seeks a single supplier to design, develop and operate a digital wayfinding service for the new Moorfields and UCL Centre for Eye Health at St Pancras. The solution must provide an accessible, inclusive navigation platform enabling patients, visitors, staff and students to independently navigate the building. Key requirements include: interactive digital building maps with destination search and point-to-point routing; multi-floor and step-free navigation options; mobile and web access without requiring app download; QR-code access points throughout the building; integration with the Patient Self-Service Check-In kiosk for post-check-in route generation; and integration with Indoor Location Services (RTLS) infrastructure where available, with full functionality on Day-1 even where RTLS is unavailable. Given Moorfields' significant visually impaired patient population, accessibility is paramount, including audio navigation and step-free routing validated with representative visually impaired users before launch. The contract will be awarded to the most advantageous tender (60% quality, 10% social value, 30% price) via a Competitive Flexible Procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. The initial two-year term includes two optional one-year extensions at the Authority's discretion.
