Albert Island Redevelopment - Development Partner Opportunity

GLA Land and Property Limited (GLAP) is seeking a development partner to lead the comprehensive redevelopment of Albert Island, a 25-acre brownfield site in the Royal Docks, Newham. The project will deliver new co-located Smithfield and Billingsgate Markets (relocating from the City of London and Tower Hamlets), comprising approximately 300,000 sq ft, alongside supporting commercial and ancillary uses within the existing planning consent of approximately 750,000 sq ft. The development partner will work alongside GLAP and the City of London Corporation to deliver enabling infrastructure, site servicing, and associated works. GLAP is currently in the preliminary market engagement phase to test delivery options and inform its procurement strategy. This is an opportunity for interested organizations to engage with GLAP, understand the project requirements, and influence the approach to partner selection.
