Reactive Winter Gritting and De-icing Services

Affinity Water is seeking a service provider to deliver reactive gritting and de-icing services across all operational regions in response to adverse winter weather conditions and operational incidents. The successful contractor will provide emergency response attendance during freezing conditions, treating operational sites, access routes, and customer-impacted areas as needed. Services must include provision of all necessary plant, vehicles, operatives, and materials, with out-of-hours, weekend, and emergency call-out capability available. The contractor will be responsible for management reporting, service performance monitoring, and full compliance with Affinity Water's operational processes, site safety requirements, and Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS). This agreement excludes planned gritting services, which remain under separate arrangements managed by the Estates team. Suppliers should demonstrate experience in emergency response gritting services, availability for rapid deployment, and understanding of water industry operational requirements.
