Peatland Restoration Contractor Services - Springmount Bog, Northern Ireland

Ulster Wildlife is seeking qualified contractors to deliver comprehensive peatland restoration works at Springmount Bog, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This project is part of PEAT+, a cross-border peatland restoration initiative funded by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The scope of work includes: scrub and tree clearance (2.1 hectares), installation of small (155), large (19), and composite (2) peat dams, small (42) and large (10) timber dams, reprofiling (224 meters), deep/trench bunding (1,238 meters), and surface bunding (2,707 meters). Contractors must minimize disturbance to priority habitats and species by strictly adhering to tender conditions and work specifications. The successful contractor will receive a mapping application for smartphones showing intervention locations and real-time positioning during site work. Attendance at a mandatory site visit is required as part of this procurement process.
