    Brief

Leicester College is seeking experienced partner organisations to deliver overseas further education-based mobility placements for selected student cohorts in 2026/27 under the Turing Scheme. Partners will be responsible for organising, managing, and delivering international placements that provide UK further education students, including apprentices, with work experience opportunities to enhance transferable skills and career prospects. This opportunity is particularly suited to organisations with proven experience supporting disadvantaged, underrepresented, and SEND students with tailored support. The anticipated annual contract value ranges from £25,000 to £125,000 depending on capacity and student volumes. Required capabilities include: demonstrable experience with international mobility for FE students; evidence of supporting diverse learner groups; provision of high-quality work placements with external employers lasting 14-15 days minimum (10 work/study days) or 7+ days for SEND students; placements between 1 October 2026 and 31 August 2027; and clear understanding of Turing Scheme funding categories and DfE grant rates. Leicester College will evaluate destinations based on strong employer networks, value for money within DfE funding rates, and alignment with FCDO travel advice and college risk assessment protocols, with particular attention to regions affected by political instability, conflict, or travel disruptions.
