Historian Consultancy for St Osyth Priory

The St Osyth Priory & Parish Trust is seeking a historian to conduct research on the history of St Osyth Priory as part of a redevelopment project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project aims to restore public access to the Grade II* listed Tithe Barn and Grade II listed Old Dairy, creating a venue for weddings, celebrations, and community events. The historian will explore various historical sources, including documents from the National Archive and British Library, and engage with the local community and volunteers to enhance their understanding of the site's heritage. Interested historians should submit an expression of interest by July 4, 2025, detailing their research topic, methodology, community involvement, and examples of previous work.
