Public Trust and Confidence in Policing: Research & Innovation Consortium

This funding opportunity supports the development and testing of innovative measurement tools and approaches to assess public trust and confidence in policing. The initiative prioritizes capturing perspectives from underrepresented populations, including young people under 18 and victims of violence against women and girls. A Research & Innovation Consortium will collaborate across multiple sectors—bringing together academic researchers, police organizations, community safety leaders, policymakers, and community groups—to co-produce novel measurement frameworks and pilot targeted interventions across at least four geographic or demographic areas. Applicants should have expertise in research methodology, community engagement, and/or policing practice, with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive and participatory research approaches.
