Elevator Installation in Germany

The Justice and Consumer Protection Authority plans to vacate a portion of the current site of the Fuhlsbüttel Correctional Facility that is no longer needed for correctional purposes. To achieve this, the existing facilities on the site will be relocated to two new buildings on the area that will continue to be used. The current supply structure and pathways within the Fuhlsbüttel facility will need to be adjusted due to the vacating of this area. Additionally, the external security of the Fuhlsbüttel facility will need to be partially redesigned and relocated to delineate the remaining facility area from the vacated portion. Some existing buildings will need to be completely or partially demolished. Three elevator systems will be installed at the Fuhlsbüttel facility. Building A will be a new training building with a ground floor and three upper floors, covering an area of approximately 4,300 m², which will include two elevators: a freight elevator with a cabin size of 1,800 x 2,700 mm and a load capacity of 2,500 kg, serving two stops (ground floor and first floor), and a passenger elevator with four stops (ground floor, first to third floors) with a load capacity of 1,000 kg and a nominal speed of 1.0 m/s. Building B will be a new garage and administrative building, also with a ground floor and three upper floors, covering an area of approximately 2,000 m², which will include one passenger elevator with four stops (ground floor, first to third floors) with the same specifications as the one in Building A. Key tasks include site setup and installation of elevator technology, including planning. Work is to commence immediately upon contract award (safety checks, ordering, planning). Completion deadlines are as follows: Building A by January 7, 2028, and Building B by February 1, 2028.
