Understanding Children Missing Education and Related Cohorts in the Humber

The Humber Violence Prevention Partnership (VPP) is a collaborative effort aimed at reducing serious violence in the region through a public health approach. A key focus of this initiative is understanding the needs of children and young people who are classified as Children Missing Education (CME), Elective Home Education (EHE), or Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET). School attendance is crucial for preventing serious violence, and while we have data on school absences, suspensions, and exclusions, we need deeper insights into the challenges faced by these specific groups. This project will involve both quantitative data collection on the prevalence of CME, EHE, and NEET, as well as qualitative research to understand their experiences and challenges. We are particularly interested in ensuring that the perspectives of children who have experienced violence or abuse are included in this research. The VPP invites bids from qualified organizations to deliver the services outlined in the attached specification document. The budget for this project is under £28,500.
