Construction Site Setup for Museum Renovation

This contract involves the renovation and remodeling of the historic Museum of Hamburg History building. The project includes comprehensive modernization and renovation of all floors, focusing on the necessary construction work for the new permanent exhibition on the first and second floors. Additionally, it encompasses the redesign and restructuring of visitor infrastructure, educational areas, the museum shop, and the restaurant. The museum has a net floor area of approximately 13,400 m² and a gross floor area of about 17,500 m², including a covered courtyard and outdoor facilities that will also be addressed in the project. Due to limited space, a comprehensive general construction site setup is required for the entire construction period. The construction site setup areas are divided into several individual areas at the building entrances and will be added and cleared in phases. Access to the construction site must be secured, and transportation and lifting equipment will be coordinated by the contractor to ensure smooth site operations. After all construction work is completed, the outdoor facilities will be restored. The scope of work for the general construction site setup includes: - General construction site setup with fencing and gates, protective measures such as ground preparation (asphalt), tree protection, and the installation of container facilities for materials, offices, staff break rooms, and sanitary facilities - Logistical organization with access control, construction ID issuance, and online notification of transports and lifting equipment - Waste management for construction debris from the renovation trades. Key tasks include: - Construction fencing and gates - approximately 700 m - Ground preparation (asphalt) - approximately 1,150 m² - Tree and root protection - approximately 200 m² - Construction power and water supply - Container installation - approximately 25 units - Access control, turnstile systems - 2 units - Online notification, construction logistics video camera system - 4 units - Disposal of construction waste including waste management - approximately 350 tons.
