    Brief

The goal of the Energy Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) is to support German companies in the climate-friendly energy sector in entering foreign markets and to promote German products and services internationally. To prepare for the market for the sale of German products and services in the context of climate-friendly energy solutions, information trips (IR) to Germany are offered for foreign decision-makers from selected target countries. During their stay in Germany, foreign participants from business, politics, and administration visit specific reference projects and facilities, as well as institutions and companies that offer energy solutions in the areas of renewable energies, energy efficiency, smart grids, or storage. The information trips aim to establish contacts and convey knowledge to create favorable conditions for demand and the use of climate-friendly energy solutions in the target countries. Through varied and moderated professional introductory and networking events, as well as company visits or site inspections in Germany, interested decision-makers are provided with specific professional information about the German market and the respective industry by experts from business, science, administration, associations, institutions, and other multipliers. The information trip is intended to complement the energy business trip program, which facilitates market access for German companies in various countries, identifies business opportunities, and promotes international business partnerships. This is achieved through the organization of business trips (GR) to target markets. The program offers German companies an excellent opportunity to expand their international activities, tap into new markets, and establish valuable business relationships. It combines in-depth market knowledge, targeted contact facilitation, and intensive on-site activities to maximize success in foreign business. The Energy Business Trip (GR) funding module consists of a travel briefing, a target market analysis (ZMA), an on-site briefing, and an event or a combination of several event formats that best fit the target market and industry (specialist conference, business breakfast, executive business roundtable, or workshop). The central element of the measure is individual discussions of German companies for targeted business initiation with potential business partners in the target country.
