Construction of Floor Slabs at Eilbektal 35

SBH | Schulbau Hamburg, a state-owned enterprise of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, is responsible for planning, constructing, maintaining, and managing school properties while considering educational needs and economic principles. The future 'Gymnasium im Eilbektal' is located at Eilbektal 35 in the Wandsbek district, Eilbek neighborhood. The school building, designed in 1906 in the Neo-Baroque style, was constructed in 1909 as a solid masonry building with a pitched roof. During World War II, the roof structure of the five-story building was severely damaged, and the gymnasium annex was destroyed. In 1954, the heavily damaged building was converted into a household school, with a partial extension ('lantern') and an annex featuring a basement gymnasium and an auditorium above. The distinctive pitched roof has been replaced with flat, sloped roofs. The part of the building scheduled for demolition and renovation was added in 1961 as a single-story extension in concrete skeleton construction on the north side. This contract involves the provision of concrete stone slabs.
