Care Provider at Hartrigg Oaks Retirement Community in York

Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) is seeking an experienced care provider to deliver integrated care services at Hartrigg Oaks, a continuing care retirement community in York with 152 bungalows and a 43-bed residential and nursing care home called The Oaks. The successful provider will be responsible for: in-home domiciliary care including personal care, domestic support, and 24/7 emergency response; residential and nursing care within The Oaks care home; on-site catering services; and operation of the on-site Healthy Activity Centre. The appointed provider will be contracted by JRHT and assume full responsibility for service delivery, safety, quality of care, clinical governance, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. Registration with the Care Quality Commission for all relevant regulated activities is required. JRHT retains estate ownership while operational responsibility for care services transfers to the provider. The contract delivers high-quality, person-centred, and integrated care using a fixed fee payment model subject to adjustment based on actual service delivery. Care provision services are expected to be VAT-exempt under UK legislation for state-regulated welfare services.
