Spain – Health Services – Robotic Ophthalmological Diagnostic Testing Using Artificial Intelligence for the Ophthalmology Service of the San Pedro University Hospital of the Riojan Health Service

This contract is part of the special services outlined in Annex IV of the LCSP, specifically within health services or healthcare assistance for beneficiaries of the public health system of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja. It is also included among services that provide direct benefits to citizens, as stated in Article 312 of the LCSP. The contract involves providing robotic ophthalmological diagnostic testing using artificial intelligence, as described in the Technical Specifications governing the contract. These diagnostic tests are additional and preliminary to those conducted by the ophthalmologists of SERIS. The purpose of the contract is to help prevent an imbalance between patient needs and SERIS resources, enhancing the integration of medicine with the latest technology based on scientific evidence and fostering genuine doctor-patient communication. This contract equips doctors with innovative AI-based technology for better and faster diagnosis, freeing them from mechanical tasks and allowing more time for patient communication. The service will be provided by the contractor at SERIS facilities, with both human and material resources supplied by the contractor, as outlined in the Technical Specifications governing the contract.
