    Brief

The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking fabrication of multiple integrated components for the Waste Transfer System, which will remove radioactive waste from the Joint European Tokamak (JET) vessel using remote handling capabilities. As part of the JET Decommissioning and Repurposing (JDR) Programme, this system must safely handle Intermediate-Level Waste (ILW) and Low-Level Waste (LLW) streams from the 40-year-old fusion facility at Culham Centre for Fusion Energy in Oxfordshire. The fabricated elements must work seamlessly together to support UKAEA's decommissioning and site repurposing objectives. Suppliers should have experience with nuclear waste handling systems, remote operation equipment, and the ability to meet stringent safety and regulatory requirements for radioactive material processing.
