Specialist Education Framework Phase 1 - Independent Non-Maintained Special Schools Round 4

Nottinghamshire County Council is looking to expand its Specialist Education Framework by adding more Independent Non-Maintained Special Schools (INMSS). This framework is designed for commissioning specialist school placements for students who have an Education Health Care (EHC) Plan and are not attending mainstream or maintained special schools. The framework started on January 1, 2025, and this is the fourth round of tenders for new providers to join the INMSS Approved Provider List, specifically for Lot 2 of the Framework Agreement. Lot 1 is not open for this round. Providers who were not successful in previous rounds (1, 2, and 3) for Lot 2 are welcome to reapply. This framework is part of a larger effort to recommission Specialist Education services, which will also include future opportunities for Alternative Education Provision and Post-16 institutions. A Framework Agreement establishes the terms for contracts awarded over a specified period, and this is a multi-provider framework with no guaranteed work.
