    Brief

    Derbyshire County Council's Adult Health and Social Care department is re-opening its Framework for procuring Specialist Residential Care and Nursing Home placements for individuals under 65 years old. This Framework will begin on April 1, 2024, and will replace the current contracting arrangements for all new placements in specialist residential care and nursing homes. It includes provisions for Emergency Placements and Respite Care. This opportunity is limited to providers operating in specific geographical areas, including: - North Derbyshire (Bolsover, Chesterfield, High Peak, North East Derbyshire) - South Derbyshire (Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, South Derbyshire) - Derby City - Nottinghamshire - Nottingham City The Framework is intended for the following client groups: - Individuals with Mental Health needs - Individuals with Learning Disabilities - Individuals on the Autism Spectrum - Individuals with Physical Disabilities - Individuals with Sensory Impairments - Individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries - Individuals exhibiting unpredictable challenging behaviors Please note that this Framework does not apply to care home providers that only serve individuals over 65 years of age. IMPORTANT: Previous successful applicants do not need to re-apply unless they wish to add additional care homes. Previously unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to re-apply. The anticipated start date for the contract is April 2026, and tender documents will be available starting November 3, 2025.
