    Brief

The Royal Navy is establishing a Platform Authority for Maritime Uncrewed Systems and inviting industry input. This authority will provide governance, engineering expertise, certification support, and through-life assurance to enable safe and effective operation of current and future unmanned maritime capabilities. The Platform Authority will develop standards, oversee certification processes, and manage operational assurance across the lifecycle of autonomous maritime systems. Industry participation is sought to inform the design and implementation of this governance structure, ensuring it meets operational requirements while supporting innovation in maritime autonomy. This is an opportunity for suppliers and technology providers to engage with Navy leadership and influence the framework that will govern autonomous systems procurement, integration, and operations.
