Counter-Drone Technology Demonstrations for UK Prisons

UK organisations can apply for funding from a £900,000 pot to demonstrate and evaluate affordable counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) technologies designed to detect and track drones in prison facilities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This is an opportunity to test innovative security solutions in a controlled environment. The project period is fixed at 2 months, running from 1 February 2027 to 31 March 2027. Eligible project costs must fall between £40,000 and £80,000 (including VAT). This funding supports technology providers, security companies and research organisations to showcase practical solutions that address the growing challenge of unauthorised drone activity in secure environments.
