Mental Health and Social Inclusion Support for Young People in Leicester

Leicester Public Health is exploring commissioning opportunities for preventative mental health and wellbeing services for at-risk young people. This soft market test has two lots: Lot 1 focuses on mental health and wellbeing support for young people aged 12-25 who are at risk of or involved with the criminal justice system, delivered through flexible group activities, workshops, and practical support. Lot 2 targets care-experienced young people aged 18-25, promoting social inclusion and emotional wellbeing by reducing isolation, building resilience, and strengthening social connections and independence. Both lots will be co-designed with young people to ensure services reflect their needs and priorities. The programmes will combine practical life skills, emotional support, and strength-based approaches using the Five Ways to Wellbeing framework. This is a soft market test to understand provider capabilities and available services for both groups. Interested organisations are encouraged to share their experience and approach to delivering mental health and social support services to these vulnerable populations.
