Ireland – Education and Training Services – Request for Tender: Updating QQI Assessment Infrastructure 2026

Qualifications and Quality Assurance Ireland (QQI) is seeking qualified service providers to assist in updating its assessment infrastructure. QQI is responsible for external quality assurance of education and training providers in Ireland, managing the National Framework of Qualifications, and establishing quality standards across the further education, training, and higher education sectors. This project involves updating QQI's systems and procedures for standards-based formative and summative assessment across the entire organization. The scope includes separating QQI's internal awarding body assessment policies and procedures from quality assurance guidelines applicable to all providers. Successful vendors will help modernize QQI's infrastructure while ensuring consultation with stakeholders through formal consultation processes. The work may require supplementation to or changes in existing systems, policies, and guidelines. Proposals should address how providers' assessment infrastructure can be effectively updated while maintaining quality standards and supporting access, transfer, and progression for learners across Ireland's education and training system.
