    Brief

Cheshire and Warrington has a thriving community energy sector with 40MWp of projects currently in feasibility and development, covering solar, hydroelectricity, energy storage and other schemes. The Community Energy Fund has supported these groups over the past two years. With DESNZ's commitment to deliver 8GW of new local power projects by 2030 and Great British Energy's new community fund launching, there is significant opportunity for growth. Energy Cheshire and Warrington (ECW), in partnership with the North West Net Zero Hub, is seeking an experienced organisation to support community energy groups across the region. The successful bidder will: provide ongoing support to groups already receiving Community Energy Fund grants; help new groups progress from initial ideas through to delivery; foster collaboration, peer learning and knowledge sharing across the sector; assist groups in accessing funding and navigating planning and construction phase barriers. ECW welcomes bids from community organisations, charities, anchor organisations, specialist advisors, and consortiums that demonstrate best value for money. The successful bidder must deliver all services according to the tender specification and contract requirements. This procurement aims to secure cost-effective, efficient services with innovative solutions that maximise value for money and support ECW's ambitions for community energy growth in the region.
