Qualitative Research on Passenger Information for British Sign Language Users in Rail

Transport Focus and SISJ partners are seeking a supplier to conduct qualitative research exploring how British Sign Language (BSL) users prefer to receive passenger information in rail environments. The research will inform improvements to accessibility and communication practices across rail services. The supplier will be responsible for designing the research methodology, recruiting BSL user participants, conducting interviews or focus groups, analyzing findings, and delivering recommendations to enhance passenger information delivery. This is an opportunity to contribute to more inclusive rail services by directly engaging with BSL users and understanding their communication needs and preferences.
