    Brief

The Natural History Museum is transforming its Western Galleries ahead of its 150th anniversary in 2031. This includes restoring the Dinosaur Gallery and reopening the Origins Gallery, Old General Herbarium, and Swing Space. The base build phase (covered by this tender) encompasses mechanical, electrical, and public health systems design and installation across all galleries, scheduled in phases from Autumn 2027 through 2031. Work includes designing and installing new ventilation, heating, cooling systems, building works in connection, creating new plant rooms, structural works, and mechanical-electrical-public health provision for new vertical circulation cores, toilets, and café facilities. The appointed consultant will serve as Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health (MEPH) and Acoustics consultant, developing MEPH design across RIBA stages 2-7 in collaboration with other consultants and Museum stakeholders. Tenderers must complete and return a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement before accessing tender documents and being added to the bidding platform. For a multi-phase major renovation project, the fit-out phase will be tendered separately.
