    Brief

This comprehensive refurbishment project modernizes galleries 30 and 31 with improved climate control and structural enhancements. The work includes structural modifications to extend the steel roof frame, installation of a new external over-roof system with advanced glazing and solar control blinds, and new external wall insulation to Gallery 31. MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems will be fully upgraded including new air conditioning units, associated ductwork, and integration with the building's existing Building Management System to maintain precise gallery conditions. Additional scope encompasses new waterproofing and leak detection systems, complete interior finishes including ceiling plasterwork restoration and gilding, flooring and wall treatments, and installation of a new external steel gantry for equipment relocation and maintenance access. This project requires expertise in structural steelwork, roofing systems, environmental controls, MEP commissioning, and high-quality interior finishing for museum-standard gallery spaces.
