    Brief

The Cheshire and Warrington Combined Authority is commissioning an Independent Economic Review to identify local growth opportunities and constraints. A key part of this work is understanding water infrastructure needs and developing strategies to ensure water systems support growth while managing flooding and drought risks, and supporting environmental and farming resilience. This opportunity aligns with the Government's new Regional Systems Planning approach for water management across England. East Cheshire and Warrington (ECW) is seeking experienced consultants to create a comprehensive, evidence-based outline water plan. This plan will bridge national and regional water planning with local spatial, economic, and infrastructure priorities, and will help shape investment decisions for PR29 and other water system plans. The successful consultant will work closely with the emerging North West Regional System Planner and stakeholders to ensure water planning supports the subregion's economic ambitions.
