Hampshire Day Opportunities Framework - Adult Care Services

Hampshire County Council is retending its adult day opportunities services through the new Hampshire Day Opportunities Framework (HDOF). This framework will replace the current Hampshire Disabilities Day Opportunities Model and provide daytime activities and support for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, older adults, and people with mental health needs. Services include traditional day care centres, vocational training, community-based services, and specialist support for complex needs. HDOF is aligned with the Care Act 2014 and designed to promote wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion. The framework addresses key needs including: supporting independent living through structured environments that build skills and enable safe daytime engagement; providing respite for family carers; and preventing health deterioration through meaningful activities. Suppliers should understand that this is an evolution of an established service model with demonstrated user satisfaction, and successful providers will deliver person-centred care that supports both individual outcomes and broader public health objectives.
