    Brief

The iMPROVE project seeks to appoint one or more qualified laboratories to provide comprehensive pharmacogenomic testing services for approximately 4,854 participants across Northern Ireland (Londonderry, Tyrone) and Ireland (Donegal, Sligo). The service will support a research implementation study integrating pharmacogenomic testing into primary care medicines optimization. GP practice pharmacists will use genomic variant data to improve patient outcomes by identifying how specific genetic variations (SNPs) affect drug metabolism for commonly prescribed medications including opioids, SSRIs, PPIs, statins, and Clopidogrel. The selected laboratory(ies) must provide end-to-end service including sample transport from GP sites, genetic testing for a defined list of SNPs, and delivery of actionable data to support personalized medication management and reduce adverse drug events. This opportunity is open to laboratory services capable of managing large-scale genomic testing with clinical implementation focus.
