External Student Counselling Services Provider

Ulster University is seeking tender responses to procure an external student counselling provider to deliver therapeutic counselling services to its student population. The university does not provide in-house therapeutic counselling and has contracted external providers for this service since 2013. The successful provider will deliver counselling as part of the university's comprehensive Student Wellbeing service suite, complementing existing internal support for mental health, disability, financial guidance, and wellbeing. The service must be seamlessly accessible to all Ulster University students (approximately 30,000) across all campuses. Student Wellbeing staff will triage students to determine if counselling is appropriate, and the contract must include a structured referral system for staff to use when directing students to the counselling service. The university's diverse student body includes home fee-paying students from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, as well as students from Great Britain, EU countries, and international locations. Prospective suppliers should demonstrate experience delivering counselling services to large, diverse university populations and the ability to integrate smoothly with existing student support systems.
