    Brief

This project seeks to improve Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine uptake among school leavers in areas of high deprivation. The HPV vaccine is highly effective at preventing several cancers including cervical, anal, and head/neck cancers. Despite being offered to 12-13 year olds through schools, uptake has declined since the COVID-19 pandemic and remains lower in socio-economically deprived communities. The successful supplier will: (1) analyse learning from existing catch-up campaigns (including the GP HPV campaign) to identify effective approaches for reaching unvaccinated young people; (2) co-design tailored information resources with school leavers, parents, and other stakeholders in one location to promote HPV vaccination; and (3) develop a practical 'How-to Guide' for local teams on delivering effective HPV catch-up campaigns that address health inequalities. The supplier must demonstrate expertise in community co-design principles, intervention development, and guide creation.
