Design and Supply of Four Clinical Simulation Rooms for Healthcare Training

The University of Birmingham seeks a contractor to design, supply, and install four immersive simulation rooms for healthcare education at the Birmingham Health Innovation Campus. The contractor will manage full project delivery including systems design, equipment installation, programming, commissioning, account management, maintenance, and ongoing content development. The rooms must feature high-fidelity 360° projection or LED displays with independent audio, video, and control systems for each space, enabling concurrent simulations. Technical specifications include multisensory effects (directional audio, programmable lighting, and optional scent systems), pre-built UK-aligned healthcare scenarios with no-code authoring tools, and libraries of realistic clinical and non-clinical environments. The solution must incorporate gamification and collaborative escape room features, integrate with existing mannequin and learning management systems, and comply with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, GMC and NMC education requirements, GDPR, and University security protocols. Full handover and staff training must be completed by the 2027/28 academic year start.
