111 Mental Health Crisis Response Service - Call Handling Provider

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is seeking a provider to deliver call handling services for the NHS 111 Mental Health Crisis Response Service (111 Option 2). This is a 24/7 service supporting individuals aged under 18 and 18+ experiencing mental health crises across the region. The appointed provider will be responsible for call handling, access, triage, and call management for all mental health crisis calls to 111, while AWP retains clinical assessment and decision-making responsibilities. The provider must operate within a collaborative matrix management model with partners including NHS 111, crisis services, community mental health teams, acute hospitals, ambulance services, primary care, and voluntary sector organizations.
