Household Food Waste Collection Service Consultant

Worcester City Council is seeking a consultant to design, mobilize, and support the implementation of a new household food waste collection service. The consultant will collaborate with the Council, waste contractors, and key partners to ensure the service is deliverable, cost-effective, compliant with legislation, and achieves high participation and capture rates. This engagement covers the pre-implementation phase only, ending before live service launch. The consultant will provide technical expertise in service design, operational planning, and project management to prepare the Council for successful service delivery. Key responsibilities include designing collection logistics, developing implementation strategies, managing stakeholder coordination, ensuring regulatory compliance, and establishing processes to maximize public participation and waste capture efficiency.
