    Brief

Nottinghamshire County Council, on behalf of Ashfield District Council, is seeking a single qualified organisation to deliver a school-based family wellbeing support service in Kirkby. The pilot will provide early, practical support to families facing financial pressure, low confidence, social isolation, or wider wellbeing challenges, testing whether a school-based model can engage residents who don't typically access traditional support services. The service should complement, not duplicate, existing provisions. The contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 July 2028 (19 months initial pilot period) with a possible 6-month extension subject to performance and funding. The budget for the initial 19-month period is £140,000 (excluding VAT), with a total contract value of £173,000 including potential extension. Only providers with offices in Nottinghamshire and delivering services within the area are eligible to apply.
