Communications and Engagement Consultant for Weyside Urban Village

The Weyside Urban Village (WUV) project is a major regeneration programme delivering approximately 1,550 new homes, including affordable units, plus community facilities, employment space, and environmental improvements. The local Authority is seeking a Communications and Engagement Consultant to develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy as the project transitions from planning into long-term delivery. The role combines strategic planning with day-to-day operational support, requiring the consultant to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including residents, businesses, community groups, and public sector partners. Key responsibilities include maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, managing expectations, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing, and developing inclusive, accessible communication that responds to stakeholder needs throughout all project phases.
