    Brief

The National Lottery Community Fund seeks an external supplier or partnership to establish a comprehensive data foundation for understanding and communicating environmental activities funded through their grants. The project comprises two integrated workstreams: (1) Environment Projects Typology - developing a classification system using machine learning to categorize types of environmental projects, reviewing and testing existing typologies, and recommending a sustainable approach for ongoing use and improvement; and (2) Climate Action Fund (CAF) Monitoring Framework - creating a monitoring system applicable to current CAF projects and future environmental funding across the UK Portfolio, including assessment of data capture methods, analysis and reporting options, survey tool refinement, testing, and a comprehensive report on CAF performance to date. The supplier will work closely with the Evidence and Impact Team to combine these workstreams for efficiency and maximize synergies between both components.
