This procurement seeks a qualified contractor to redesign and upgrade the Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) at Cibyn Industrial Estate, Caernarfon, Gwynedd. Following the relocation of a confidential paper shredding operation, additional floor space is now available to optimize the facility's layout and operations. The successful tenderer will be responsible for the complete design, supply, installation, commissioning, and testing of a new recycling processing line that incorporates both existing and newly available floor areas. Key objectives include improving operational efficiency and throughput, enhancing health and safety standards, increasing automation to reduce manual handling, minimizing material contamination, and improving the quality and value of recovered materials. The solution must also provide flexibility to accommodate future changes in recycling materials and processing requirements. Scope of work includes: assessment of existing operations and site constraints, design of new MRF layout and processing line, removal or relocation of existing equipment, supply of new equipment, integration of existing and new equipment, installation and commissioning, operator training and documentation, equipment warranties, and provision of maintenance and support services with defined response times and preventative maintenance schedules.
