Coastal Maritime Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Service

Border Security Command is procuring an integrated maritime situational awareness system to enhance the security of the UK, Crown Dependencies and British Overseas Territories. The system must provide persistent 24/7/365 surveillance across designated areas of interest, autonomously detecting, tracking and identifying both cooperative and non-cooperative vessels using fused data from AIS, radar and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensors. The solution will deliver Tracks as a Service (TKaaS) in near real time via API integration with the Royal Navy Maritime Domain Awareness Programme and the Home Office TAK server to create a common operating picture for key decision-makers and first responders. Suppliers must own, site, install, secure and operate all required hardware in the UK and overseas locations, achieving full operating capability within six months of contract award. This consolidated procurement combines previously separate requirements for land-based ISR and mobile maritime domain awareness into a single scalable managed service. The contract will run for 3-5 years with a maximum estimated value of approximately £100 million (excluding VAT).
