Bus Shelter and Advertising Display Concession Contract - Crawley

Crawley Borough Council is seeking a qualified Contractor for a 15-year concession contract (commencing 7 July 2026) to supply, install, and maintain high-quality bus shelters and advertising display screens throughout the borough. The successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring all facilities are kept clean, safe, secure, and well-maintained to encourage passenger growth and support the National Bus Strategy and West Sussex Bus Service Improvement Plan. In exchange for providing and maintaining these services, the Concessionaire will be granted exclusive advertising rights to operate digital display screens on bus shelters and install free-standing double-sided 6-sheet digital advertising units across Crawley. The contract covers the supply, installation, and maintenance of new bus shelters and advertising displays, plus the operation of free-standing units. Planning permission and advertising consent will be required for any changes to existing advertising units, additional shelters, or installation of free-standing units. This is a revenue-generating concession opportunity where the contractor profits from advertising sales while maintaining all passenger facilities to council standards.
