    Brief

Derbyshire County Council is looking for a provider or consortium to deliver accredited Level 2 and Level 3 Youth Work qualifications as part of the Local Youth Transformation Programme (LYTP). This contract aims to provide high-quality, nationally recognized youth work training to at least 100 staff and volunteers in Derbyshire, with the possibility of supporting up to 200 participants depending on capacity and interest. The LYTP is funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to fill gaps in youth service provision, enhance workforce development, and ensure compliance with Section 507B of the Education Act 1996. The program addresses recommendations from the 2025 NYA and Street Games review, which highlighted the need for a well-coordinated, skilled youth workforce and better access to accredited training for both local authority and voluntary/community sector staff. This opportunity is published under the Light Touch Regime, with a maximum contract value of £300,000 based on 200 learners enrolling. Most of the funding must be utilized by March 31, 2026, with the remainder by August 31, 2026. It is important that the majority of learners are enrolled in their courses by March 31, 2026.
