Christmas Lights Display Services for Raunds Town Council

Raunds Town Council is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide Christmas lights display services in the town center. This contract covers the supply (including hire and installation), testing, maintenance, removal, and storage of festive lighting for the Council's annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event and other seasonal displays. The contract will start in January 2026, and the Council is accepting quotes for both a three-year term (2026-2028) and a five-year term (2026-2030). Bidders must provide pricing for both terms to help the Council determine the best value. The selected contractor will be responsible for: - Planning and installing Christmas lighting in designated areas of Raunds, including the Town Hall, Saxon Hall grounds, Brook Street, High Street, and the Town Square. - Conducting PAT testing, maintenance, and annual safety inspections (including anchor bolt load testing). - Supplying rented lighting displays for 16 lamp columns (12 single, 2 double, 1 feature). - Storing council-owned lighting displays. - Attending the Christmas Lights Switch-On Event (held on the last Sunday in November). - Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations and relevant HSE guidance. - Providing fault repair services during the operational period. - Safely dismantling and storing/removing lighting after the festive season (by January 18 each year). The contractor is expected to collaborate closely with Council officers, offer creative input, ensure energy efficiency, and propose alternative display designs annually if requested.
