Family Support Service Opportunity

Salford City Council is seeking suppliers for an Early Help Family Support Service aimed at enhancing family resilience and reducing reliance on local authority services. The service will empower parents and guardians to support their children's development and provide necessary respite for caregivers. The annual budget for this service is approximately £65,600. Interested organizations should complete the attached questionnaire and submit it by 5:00 PM on October 15, 2025, via The Chest. A remote meeting with the commissioning and procurement teams will be held on October 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for any inquiries. The service will focus on four key areas: 1) Befriending, offering emotional and practical support to families with children aged 0-19, available evenings and weekends; 2) Providing overnight hosting and daytime breaks for children in crisis; 3) Assisting families in sourcing charitable donations for critical needs; and 4) Strengthening family connections to community resources for ongoing support. The service will collaborate with the Council's Early Help service and target families needing additional support, including those at risk of child protection issues.
