Invitation to Tender for Internet and Telephony Services

Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) is seeking tenders for the provision of internet services and associated telephony circuits. This opportunity arises as CBC's current fixed-line internet services, procured under a framework agreement, will expire at the end of June 2026. The proposed contract will last for three years, with the option for two additional 12-month extensions at CBC's discretion. Suppliers should be prepared to offer a flexible solution that allows for the addition of services during the contract term at the same commercial rates, with a co-terminus end date. CBC requires the ability to adjust services annually based on changing needs, such as site closures. The goal is to identify a cost-effective solution that maintains or enhances the current telecommunications services across all sites. Key requirements include reliable service delivery, accurate billing, and effective account management. The Council will provide support and information to assist suppliers throughout the quotation process. All questions and responses will be shared with all tenderers to ensure fairness. For any clarifications, suppliers should use the Correspondence facility within the In-tend electronic tendering system. The deadline for questions is Wednesday, 22nd October 2025, at 5 PM. Quotations and attachments must be submitted electronically via the In-tend system by 12:00 Noon on 31st October 2025. Quotations submitted through the correspondence facility will not be accepted. Late submissions will be excluded.
