Interim NDLS Front Office Network Services Contract – Ireland

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is seeking to award an interim contract for the provision of National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) front office operations in Ireland. This short-term contract will bridge the gap between the expiry of the current SGS Ireland Ltd contract in December 2026 and the commencement of a new, consolidated NDLS contract anticipated to begin in late 2027. The interim contract will cover approximately 28 months and includes essential front office services such as secure processing of driver licence applications, document validation, payment processing, and operation of 34 customer centres nationwide, along with associated staff and technology. A 6-month termination clause is included to facilitate the transition to the new amalgamated contract. Due to technical, legal, and operational constraints, RSA intends to award this contract as a direct award to the incumbent service provider.
