    Brief

    Transport Scotland seeks a qualified contractor to design, construct, and maintain the A9 Dualling project between Tomatin and Moy in Scotland. The project involves upgrading approximately 9.6km of existing A9 single carriageway to dual 2-lane all-purpose (D2AP) trunk road standard. Key deliverables include: construction of a new bridge at Dalmagarry to carry the dual carriageway over a realigned 670m section of Dalmagarry Burn; a new access track bridge to maintain farm operations; approximately 3.3km of single-lane local link road with passing places; one grade-separated junction and four left-in left-out junctions; drainage and sustainable drainage systems; upgrade of approximately 42 culverts; traffic management; earthworks; road restraint systems; service diversions; fencing; signage; environmental mitigation; and a 5-year maintenance period for landscaping and defect rectification. The contractor will not be responsible for cyclic maintenance. This is a comprehensive infrastructure project requiring experience in large-scale road construction, bridge works, and environmental considerations.
